I-90 Westbound - I-90 milepost 89 westbound Indian John Rest Area Closure: Through Wednesday morning August 23, the westbound rest area will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A temporary rest area for cars only will be available in Cle Elum, Exit 84. Trucks will need to use Exit 53 near the summit. Starting August 23 at 9 a.m. the rest area will be open during the day only till Friday Sept. 1.

During closures eastbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 62 near Stampede Pass Interchange. No services are available past Exit 53 eastbound and Exit 70 westbound during blast closures.
