SCR 17-19 Region Wide – Rumble Strips

Highway
: US-12 Region: South Central County: Asotin, Columbia & Garfield Location: US-12 MP 359 to MP 433

Project description: This contract calls for highway improvements that include installation of shoulder and centerline rumble strips, fog seal, replacing delineation and other work.

I-182 and US-395 Tri-Cities Vicinity Paving and Joint Repair 

Highway: I-182 and US-395 Region: South Central County: Benton Franklin Location: I-182 mileposts 4 to 5 and US-395 milepost 17 to 18

Project description: This project improves the I-182 interchange and sections of US-395 by repairing the existing roadway with crack sealing, fog sealing and repaving. This work also includes installing guardrails, repairing bridge decks and applying new lane striping. This work is scheduled to be complete in late August.

I-82 Columbia River Bridge Eastbound Deck Replacement


Highway:
I-82 Region: South Central County: Benton Location: I-82 milepost 132

Project description: This project removes the deck off the eastbound bridge across the Columbia River into Oregon. The work will also upgrade the electrical system and pavement markings across the bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto the westbound bridge during the majority of this multi-season project. Work is scheduled to be complete by this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

24 hours a day: The eastbound traffic is shifted across a detour onto the westbound Columbia River bridge into Oregon 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The speed limit is reduced to 40 mph through the detour. The westbound lanes are reduced to a single lane.



I-182 Queensgate Drive Interchange Improvements

I-182 Region: South Central County: Benton Location: I-182, milepost 3

Project description: This project replaces the existing traffic signal at the I-182 and Queensgate Drive Interchange with a roundabout and re-aligning and adding a second lane to the eastbound on- and off-ramps. This work is scheduled to be complete by this fall. 

Weekly work schedule: 

Monday Oct. 22 through Friday Oct. 26:
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. there will be illumination work in the Queensgate roundabout. Expect possible closures.


SR-224 City of West Richland Utility Work

Highway: 
SR-224 Region: South Central County: Benton Location: SR-224, mileposts 6 and 7

Project description: The City of West Richland is installing a new water and sewer line along and across SR-224 at various locations between mileposts 6 and 7. This work is scheduled to be complete in October.

Weekly work schedule:

Monday Oct. 22 through Friday Oct. 26: during daytime hours, drivers should be prepared for alternating one-way traffic along SR 224 (West Van Giesen Street) between Grosscup Blvd. and S 48th Ave. intersections. Grosscup Blvd. will be closed between the intersection of SR 224 and Deer Street, drivers can use 62nd Ave. as the detour route. Drivers may experience minor delays through the work zone. Shoulders along SR-224 may also be closed intermittently throughout the project limits.

I-90 - 468th Ave to the Snoqualmie Pass Summit repair concrete and bridge decks

Highway:
I-90 Region: South Central County: King Location: I-90, mileposts 34 to 52

Project description: This project repairs several sections of the eastbound lanes and repairs several bridge decks in the westbound lanes between North Bend and the summit of Snoqualmie Pass. This project is scheduled to be complete by this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

Eastbound:
Drivers can expect lane closures 24 hours a day between milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 52 near the summit of Snoqualmie Pass. Night time work may reduce traffic to one lane. Drivers should plan for added travel time through this area.

Westbound:
No significant traffic impacts anticipated this week. 


 
I-90 USFS Road 9030 to Exit 45 Interchange Replace Lighting

Project description: This project replaces the existing light system at the interchange of USFS 9030 Road and Exit 45. This project is scheduled to be complete by late summer.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Phase 1C add lanes and replace snowshed

Highway: I-90 Region: South Central County: Kittitas Location: I-90, mileposts 54 to 59

Project description: This project builds a wider and more reliable 5-mile stretch of I-90 from Hyak to Keechelus Dam by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges including two avalanche bridges and stabilizing rock slopes. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

Eastbound and Westbound through Nov. 4:
Traffic will be reduced in these 3 lane sections to 2 lanes, 24 hours per day except as noted below.

Eastbound: 

Monday Oct. 22, Thursday Oct. 25 and Friday Oct. 26 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. traffic will be reduced to one travel lane.  

Westbound:

Monday Oct. 22 through Friday Oct. 26 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., traffic will be reduced to one travel lane.


Keechelus Dam to Stampede Pass Phase 2A add lanes and build wildlife bridges  

Highway:
I-90 Region: South Central County: Kittitas Location: I-90, mileposts 59 to 62

Project description: This project builds a wider and more reliable 2-mile stretch of I-90 from Keechelus Dam  to Stampede Pass by adding lanes, replacing and adding bridges, stabilizing rock slopes building the first wildlife overcrossing in the project corridor. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

Weekly work schedule:

Monday, Oct. 22 thru Friday, Oct. 26: Night lane closures both East and Westbound directions. Single lane closures during daytime hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., nighttime traffic will be down to single lane. Hours are 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday only.



I-90 - Easton to Ellensburg Vicinity Interchange Paving

Project description: This project repaves the on- and off-ramps between Easton, Thorpe and Ellensburg. This project is scheduled to be complete this fall.

Intermittent shoulder and lane closures at night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Thorpe Interchange, Exit 101; Monday through Friday:
Intermittent shoulder and lane closures at night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. 
 


I-90 - Yakima River Bridges Deck Repair

Project description:
This project repairs the bridge decks in both directions near Cle Elum and Ellensburg. This project is scheduled to be complete fall 2020.

I-90 / Indian John Hill Rest Area Vicinity WB Pavement Rehabilitation

Project description: This project rehabilitates the concrete in the right lane by milling the surface of the roadway to increase friction and add traction. This project is scheduled to be complete late October 2018 

Weekly work schedule:

Monday Oct. 22 through Thursday Oct. 25 during daylight hours: Westbound will be reduced to a single lane during daylight hours. Traffic should anticipate delays.


SR-903 – City of Cle Elum – First St and Peoh Ave
Intersection

Project Description: This project is constructing pedestrian improvements to the SR-903 (Second St) and Peoh Ave intersection. This work is scheduled to be complete late October.

Drivers can expect shoulder closures  and intermittent single lane closures with a flagging operation Monday to Friday during daylight hours.

 

SR-903 – City of Roslyn - Pennsylvania Avenue Pedestrian Improvements

US-730 - North of Oregon Border Rockfall Prevention
