Annual winter storm training scheduledFrom 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, to 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, travelers can expect to encounter up to four closures of the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge for annual winter storm training. Each closure could last up to 60 minutes as crews conduct emergency evacuation training on the bridge. Crews will regularly flush traffic between each closure.
By law, WSDOT is required to open the Hood Canal Bridge drawspan to mariners within one hour’s notice, and motorists are advised to expect up to 60-minute delays with each opening. If no drawspan openings are listed immediately below, no non-military drawspan openings are scheduled.
