State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge undergoes inspection
Hood Canal Bridge is undergoing a thorough inspection during the weeks of July 11 and July 18, which require multiple maintenance closures. Each closure generally will close the bridge to traffic for 30 minutes. No maintenance closures are scheduled during each weekend.

From May 22nd to September 30th each year, private vessels (pleasure craft) are prohibited from requiring a drawspan opening from 3 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. daily. The rule doesn’t apply to commercial, U.S Navy or other Department of Defense vessels.

Scheduled Openings

By law, WSDOT is required to open the Hood Canal Bridge drawspan to mariners within one hour’s notice, and motorists are advised to expect up to 60-minute delays with each opening. If no drawspan openings are listed immediately below, no non-military drawspan openings are scheduled.



The bridge drawspan will open at approximately 11:15 AM on Monday July 25 for boat traffic. Drivers can expect delays of up to 60 minutes.
