Blocking Incidents
  • Closure on SR 409, both directions at milepost 2.79. The Puget Island Bridge is closed for painting, beginning at 8:59 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Saturday, Sept. 15: The Bridge of the Gods on SR 14 (milepost 41.55) will be closed to traffic from 7:30-8 a.m., for the Bridge of the Goddess Half Marathon.
  • RV Dump Closure on I-5 southbound at milepost 13 near South Bound Gee Creek Rest Area beginning at 2:23 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Collision on I-5 southbound at milepost 10, near 179th Street blocking right lane beginning at 12:00 am on September 19, 2018 until further notice.
Construction Closures
  • Beginning Monday, Sept. 18, until further notice: A single lane of the highway is closed between Eagle Hill Road and Panoramic Lane, around-the-clock, for erosion protection work.
    NOTE: The speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph through this area.
  • Beginning Monday, Oct. 30, until further notice: Traffic on both directions of SR 504, near Wooster Creek at milepost 17.0, will be shifted to a temporary single-lane, by-pass route, controlled by an automated traffic signal, around-the-clock, during construction. NOTE: Users of the highway will need to watch for advanced signs notifying them of the single-lane detour ahead. NOTE: All work is weather dependent.
  • Beginning Monday, Aug 27, 2018: Travelers on both directions of SR 4 near Stella will alternate through a single lane, around-the-clock, for slope restoration and fence replacement work.
    Daytime intermittent full roadway closures of 20 to 30 minutes may be needed, while crews remove large rocks off the hillside.
    Use caution and slow down through the work zone.
    NOTE: The speed limit through this area has been reduced to 25 mph.
  • Beginning Monday, June 25 until further notice: Traffic on both directions of the SR 409 Puget Island Bridge will alternate through a single lane around-the-clock for bridge painting and deck repair work. No overwidth loads permitted across the bridge during the single-lane closure.
    Beginning Monday, July 30 until further notice: Full overnight bridge closures are possible Sunday through Thursday nights, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Beginning Tuesday, May 29, until further notice: A single-lane of southbound I-5, between Todd Road and milepost 25, will be closed around-the-clock, for paving and bridge work. The speed limit through the work zone has been reduced to 60 mph. All southbound lanes of I-5 have been shifted through the work zone, there are no lane changes allowed through this area. The work is weather dependent.

    Saturday, Sept. 15 to the morning of Saturday, Sept. 22: Up to two lanes on both directions of I-205 between the Glenn Jackson Bridge and Glisan Street, will close nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for paving work.

    Saturday, Sept. 15 to the morning of Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of I-5 between the Interstate Bridge and the Moda Center, should expect intermittent single-lane and ramp closures, nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for paving work.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to the morning of Friday, Sept. 21: Both directions of SR 409/Puget Island Bridge will fully close overnight beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 until 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
  • Construction on I-5 southbound from milepost 36 near Owl Creek to milepost 33. The left and center lanes are closed, use caution beginning at 7:24 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Beginning Tuesday, April 24, 2018, until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 508, between Centralia Alpha Road and Kearney Creek, traffic will alternate through a single lane, around-the-clock, using a temporary traffic signal, for bridge replacement work.
    NOTE: All work is weather dependent.
  • Beginning Wednesday, July 25 until further notice: The signal at the US 101 and SR 6 intersection will be removed, and travelers will be flagged through the intersection, around-the-clock, for roundabout construction work.
    NOTE: During construction, travelers passing through the work zone should anticipate delays of us to 20 minutes.

  • Saturday, Sept. 15 to Thursday, Sept. 20: Travelers on both directions of SR 4, between County Line Park and Mill Creek Road will be alternated through a single-lane with flaggers, daily, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for slide debris removal.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of SR 503/SR 503 Spur between Northeast Rock Creek Road and Williams Road will alternate through a single lane, with flaggers and a pilot car, daily from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., for chip sealing and paving work.
    NOTE: All work is weather dependent.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of SR 500 between Northeast Lake Road and Northeast 3rd Avenue will be flagged through a single lane, with a pilot car, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., for pavement repair and highway reconfiguration work.
    NOTE: During construction, travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, throughout the construction zone.

  • Construction on SR 6 westbound at milepost 4. near Hunt Clubb Road. Right lane is closed, beginning at 6:53 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 18 to the morning of Friday, Sept. 21: Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 between Todd Road and the weigh station (milepost 44), will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work. NOTE: The speed limit through the work zone has been reduced to 50 mph. Travelers should use caution and slow down through the work zone.
  • Construction on SR 432 eastbound at milepost 9.58 near Dike Road, left lane is closed, beginning at 8:09 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Construction on SR 503 northbound at milepost 1.2 near 87th Street. The right lane is closed, use caution, beginning at 9:17 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Construction on SR 503 southbound at milepost 1.2 near 87th Street. The right lane is closed, beginning at 9:33 pm on September 18, 2018 until further notice.
  • Beginning Monday, June 25 until further notice: Traffic on both directions of the SR 409 - Puget Island Bridge, will alternate through a single lane around-the-clock, with a temporary traffic signal.
  • Sunday, Sept. 16 to the morning of Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of the SR 433/Lewis and Clark bridge will be alternated intermittently through a single lane, with flaggers, nightly, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for utility inspection work along the bridge.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Traffic on both directions of SR 503, between Northeast Caples Road and Northeast 154th Street, will be reduced to a single-lane, with flaggers, daily, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for construction of bus/truck pullout lanes.
    NOTE: During construction a single-lane on both directions of SR 503 will remain open through the work zone.

  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of SR 4 between the US 101/SR 4 intersection and Greenwood Road will alternate through a single lane daily, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for rumble strip installation work.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of US 101 between Chinook Valley Road and Port of Willapa Road, will alternate through a single lane daily, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for rumble strip installation work.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept 21: Travelers on both directions of SR 503/SR 503 Spur between Northeast Rock Creek Road and Williams Road will alternate through a single lane, with flaggers and a pilot car, daily from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., for chip sealing and paving work. NOTE: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during construction on SR 503 and on the SR 503 Spur, and significantly longer delays on cross streets when paving occurs at the intersections.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21: Travelers on both directions of SR 14 a half-mile east of Cape Horn will alternate through a single lane daily, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for debris fence repair work.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to the morning of Sunday, Sept. 23: Travelers on both directions of SR 503, between Northeast 87th Street and Northeast 95th Street will be shifted to a single-lane, nightly, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., for drainage replacement work.
    NOTE: One lane in each direction will remain open.
    NOTE: Pedestrians and cyclists should watch for advanced signage, and will be guided by traffic control to either the northbound or southbound side of the work zone, nightly, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to the morning of Sunday, Sept. 23: Travelers on both directions of SR 6, between Twin Oaks Road and Bunker Creek Road will be alternated through a single-lane with flaggers, nightly, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., for bridge work.

    NOTE: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to the morning of Friday, Sept. 21: A single lane on eastbound SR 432/Cowlitz River Bridge will close nightly from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. for bridge painting work. During the closure, crews will intermittently close the Dike Road on-ramp to eastbound SR 432.
    NOTE: All work is weather dependent.
  • Monday, Sept. 17 to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 19: Up to two lanes of southbound I-5 between Todd Road and Frontage Road, will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for paving work.
