Blocking Incidents

Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on I-5 southbound from milepost 132.50 near M St to milepost 130.50 near 56th St beginning at 11:18 am on May 18, 2013 until further notice.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on SR 16 eastbound from milepost 2.00 near Orchard St to milepost 0.00 near I 5 beginning at 12:44 pm on May 18, 2013 until further notice.

Construction Closures

The southbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street in Tacoma (Exit #132A) is closed through July. Motorists are detoured via the S. 56th Street interchange at Exit #130, onto northbound I-5 and to the northbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street. Expect delays, especially during a.m. and p.m. peak travel periods.
Eastbound Nalley Valley project-related work requires periodic lane and shoulder closures in both directions of SR 16, as well as on Sprague Avenue, South Tacoma Way and Center, and Union streets weekdays and weeknights.
