Blocking Incidents

Road work on SR 16 both directions at Milepost 1.41 near Union Ave beginning at 9:00 PM on June 18, 2013 until approximately 4:30 AM on June 19, 2013.
Road work on SR 512 westbound from milepost 1.63 near SR 7 to milepost 0 near Interstate 5 beginning at 9:30 PM on June 18, 2013 until approximately 3:30 AM on June 19, 2013.

Construction Closures

The southbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street in Tacoma (Exit #132A) is closed through July. Motorists are detoured via the S. 56th Street interchange at Exit #130, onto northbound I-5 and to the northbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street. Expect delays, especially during a.m. and p.m. peak travel periods.
Eastbound Nalley Valley project-related work requires periodic lane and shoulder closures in both directions of SR 16, as well as on Sprague Avenue, South Tacoma Way and Center, and Union streets weekdays and weeknights.
Tuesday, June 18 to the morning of Wednesday, June 19 - The on- and off-ramps between westbound SR 18 and the West Valley Highway will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for maintenance work. Signed detour routes will be in place for drivers.
