Blocking Incidents

Collision on northbound I-705, on the ramp from northbound I-5, or milepost 0.0. Beginning at 10:27 am on May 22, 2013 until further notice. The right lane of the ramp is blocked.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on I-5 northbound from milepost 130.5 near 56th St to milepost 135.00 near Tacoma beginning at 7:17 am on May 22, 2013 until further notice.
Severe side winds on the Tacoma Narrows Bridges, on SR 16, at milepost 8, in both directions. Beginning May 22nd, 2013 at 9:15 AM, until further notice.

Construction Closures

The southbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street in Tacoma (Exit #132A) is closed through July. Motorists are detoured via the S. 56th Street interchange at Exit #130, onto northbound I-5 and to the northbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street. Expect delays, especially during a.m. and p.m. peak travel periods.
Eastbound Nalley Valley project-related work requires periodic lane and shoulder closures in both directions of SR 16, as well as on Sprague Avenue, South Tacoma Way and Center, and Union streets weekdays and weeknights.
