Blocking Incidents

Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on I-5 northbound from milepost 131.00 near 48th St to milepost 135.00 near Tacoma beginning at 12:45 pm on May 24, 2013 until further notice.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on I-5 southbound from milepost 139.00 near Hylebos Creek to milepost 136.00 near Port Of Tacoma Rd. Beginning at 11:43 am on May 24, 2013 until further notice.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on I-5 southbound from milepost 126 near Bridgeport Way to milepost 120 near Joint Base Lewis Mcchord. Beginning at 12:09 pm on May 24, 2013 until further notice.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on SR 167 southbound from milepost 11.00 near Pierce King County Line to milepost 7.00 near Valley Ave beginning at 2:20 pm on May 24, 2013 until further notice.
Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on SR 512 westbound from milepost 4.86 near Vickery Rd to milepost 0.00 near Interstate 5 beginning at 2:17 pm on May 24, 2013 until further notice.

Construction Closures

The southbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street in Tacoma (Exit #132A) is closed through July. Motorists are detoured via the S. 56th Street interchange at Exit #130, onto northbound I-5 and to the northbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street. Expect delays, especially during a.m. and p.m. peak travel periods.
Eastbound Nalley Valley project-related work requires periodic lane and shoulder closures in both directions of SR 16, as well as on Sprague Avenue, South Tacoma Way and Center, and Union streets weekdays and weeknights.
