Blocking Incidents

Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays on northbound SR 167, from milepost 7.5, near the SR 410 interchange, to milepost 11.0, the Pierce-King county line. Beginning at 5:29 am on May 23, 2013 until further notice.

Construction Closures

The southbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street in Tacoma (Exit #132A) is closed through July. Motorists are detoured via the S. 56th Street interchange at Exit #130, onto northbound I-5 and to the northbound I-5 exit to S. 38th Street. Expect delays, especially during a.m. and p.m. peak travel periods.
Eastbound Nalley Valley project-related work requires periodic lane and shoulder closures in both directions of SR 16, as well as on Sprague Avenue, South Tacoma Way and Center, and Union streets weekdays and weeknights.
