On holiday weekends traffic is expected to remain heavy well into the evening hours.

During blasting closures eastbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 62 near the Stampede Pass Interchange. No services are available past Exit 53 eastbound and Exit 70 westbound during blast closures.

Eastbound and westbound drivers will encounter alternating one lane traffic through the project in two to three locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Delays up to 30 minutes are anticipated in both directions. Delays up to 45 minutes are anticipated in both directions due to higher traffic volumes anticipated with holiday travel.
