Crews are continuing to work on clearing the roadway. Travelers can use US-97 to SR-970 as a detour around the closure. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway at this time.

I-90 Westbound - Correction: This is advance notice that I-90 westbound will be closed at milepost 52 for avalanche control at noon. Traffic will be stopped at milepost 52. Avalanche control this time of year generally takes from 20 minutes to 2 hours to complete. Once WSDOT crews assess the snow volumes brought down by the avalanche control, WSDOT can provide a better estimated time of opening."
