Blocking Incidents
  • The SR 162 Spiketon Creek Bridge has been permanently closed due to recently discovered pier settlement. A detour is in effect using Mundy Loss Road, SR 410 and SR 165. WSDOT plans to install a temporary span and reopen the highway to travelers mid-October 2019. View our next steps for a path towards permanent bridge replacement additionally in 2022.
  • On SR 28 between Trinidad and Ephrata (milepost 22 - 44.5) on Sunday only beginning at 6:30 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m., expect a slow mobile operation with attenuator truck conducting Lidar work between Trinidad and Ephrata. Travelers are advised pass with caution in appropriate locations.
  • Rest Area on I-90 eastbound at milepost 159: The eastbound rest area is open but there is a posted water restriction.
Construction Closures
  • On US 2/97 between Dryden and Monitor (milepost 106 to 115) Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. expect temporary signage, shoulder closures and lane shifts at the intersections of US 2/97 at Dryden Ave./Johnson Rd., Goodwin Rd./Hay Canyon Rd., Aplets Way/Nahahum Canyon Rd., Cotlets Way/Eels Rd., Main St./Easy St. where a contractor is upgrading electrical system on the "Prepare to Stop When Flashing" signage.
  • On US 2 on Stevens Pass from west of the summit to east of Lanham Lake trailhead/Stevens Pass Nordic Center (milepost 64 to 71) expect lane closures, a 45 mph reduced speed zone and delays up to 20 minutes where a maintenance crew is repairing the pavement meet line.
  • At US 97 Blewett Pass at milepost 159 in both directions near Swauk Creek campground, Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect flagger-controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes as the contractor prepares the site for winter suspension. The contractor is in the process of shifting traffic back to the original highway alignment, at which time the reduced speed limit and oversized load restrictions will be lifted.
  • I-82 milepost 38 South Union Gap: delays due to shoulder and lane closures at night in both directions. The US-97 NB ramp to WB I-82 is closed with a detour for I-82 WB traffic. The NB US-97 off-ramp to Union Gap is open. The WB I-82 exit at MP 38 is closed to traffic; access to Union Gap is via exit 36. Signed detours will direct drivers through the project area. Businesses in south Union Gap will remain open through construction. Ramp closures are until mid October.
  • On US 2 west of Skykomish (milepost 45) Monday and Tuesday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect short delays with flagger-controlled traffic where a contractor is setting the timber pole and installing a variable message sign. There will also be intermittent closures of both the westbound and eastbound shoulders at the work site Monday through Thursday.
  • US-97 northbound milepost 75 Union Gap: Until mid-October, the US-97 northbound ramp to westbound I-82 is closed with a detour for travelers wanting to proceed on I-82 westbound. The northbound US-97 off-ramp to Main Street Union Gap is open. A signed detour will direct drivers through the project area. Businesses in south Union Gap will remain open through construction.
  • On US 97 at Beebe Bridge (south of the junction with SR 150) on Tuesday and Wednesday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays of 20 minutes while the bridge crew inspects the structure.
  • On US 97A in the city of Chelan on W. Woodin Ave. (milepost 223) Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with delays on W. Woodin Ave. where a contractor for Chelan County PUD is installing conduit.
  • On I-90 westbound from SR 900 (MP 15) to 148th Ave SE (MP 11) the left lane is closed due to roadwork.
  • I-90 eastbound Exit 80, Bullfrog off and on ramps, two miles west of Cle Elum, will be closed on Monday Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. for the concrete rehabilitation of the highway and bridge deck. This closure will last until Nov. 4 and a detours will be in place using Exit 84 or Exit 85 to SR-903 to Bullfrog Road.
  • On US 2/97, two miles south of Orondo/junction of US 2 and US 97 (milepost 138) on Thursday only, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 10 minutes where a Douglas COunty PUD crew will clear rocks and debris that may fall onto the roadway during the construction of an access road.
  • On SR 28 at 13th Avenue in the City of Quincy (milepost 29) Wednesday and Thursday nights only, from 10 pm. to 5 a.m. expect flagger controlled traffic with possible delays where the contractor is installing permanent marking on the newly constructed roundabout.
  • US-12 both directions milepost 160 and milepost 146, near the summit of White Pass: Monday Sept. 16 through Friday Sept. 20 drivers should anticipate one way traffic with up to 20 minute delays during daylight hours.
  • I-90 both directions MP 33 to MP 136: Several construction and maintenance projects will cause delays this week across I-90 between North Bend and Vantage due to lane closures and detours. Please plan for added travel time in order to make it to your destination on time. We will also have I-90 down to a single lane in both directions at night about 3 miles east of the summit of Snoqualmie Pass starting Monday night until Saturday morning.
  • SR-24 milepost 39 to milepost 44, 39 miles east of Yakima, in both directions: Monday Sept. 16 to Thursday Sept. 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be traffic control and lane closures for pavement repair work.
  • SR-410 milepost 80 to milepost 83, east of the Chinook Pass summit: Monday Sept. 16 to Wednesday Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be traffic controlled lane closures for culvert cleaning operations.
