Blocking Incidents
  • Utilities work taking place on SR 112 both directions at milepost 48.5 near Gossett Rd beginning at 7:10 am on June 15, 2021 until about 4:00 pm.
  • Road work on SR 305, in both directions, from milepost 0.0 near Bainbridge Island South City Limits, to milepost 7.0 near Bainbridge Island North City Limits. Beginning at 8:06 am on June 15, 2021 until about 3:00 pm.
  • SR 112 near Jim Creek is closed until further notice due to six separate slides that occurred beginning in December of 2020. WSDOT is currently preparing a contract for competitive bids through extensive environmental reviews. Construction could begin in early May. During the closure, travelers will continue to detour via US 101 and SR 113. More details about reopening online .
Construction Closures
  • Crews are removing multiple barriers to fish under US 101 between Sequim and Port Angeles at Bagley and Siebert Creeks for improved fish passage which will require around-the-clock construction, shifted lanes and reduced speeds through fall of 2021. Any highway closures will be announced in advance.
  • Crews are replacing three outdated culverts that run under US 101 at Steamboat Creek, Harlow Creek and Fisher Creek between Queets and Kalaloch. The culverts will be replaced with concrete girder bridges and are expected to open up nearly nine miles of potential fish habitat for salmon and resident fish. Work is expected to wrap up at all three sites fall of 2021. Travelers will encounter one-way alternating with a temporary signal around-the-clock.
  • Each weeknight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning, construction crews will reduce the highway near Morse Creek to one lane with flaggers through early fall 2021. Crews aim to improve safety along the corridor through construction of a raised landscaped median, reduced speed limit and other proven traffic calming measures. No work is scheduled during daytime hours or on weekends.
  • Weather permitting, maintenance crews will pave the intersection of US 101 at Holland Drive/Orcas Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 16. Travelers can expect shifted lanes and reduced speeds as crews complete necessary repairs. There may be times where crews briefly stop all traffic.
  • Sunday, June 13, to the morning of Friday, June 18 – Two lanes of southbound I-405 and the on- and off-ramp at NE 6th Street will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Tuesday, June 15, to the morning of Wednesday, June 16 – The I-405 on- and off-ramps at NE 160th Street will close from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Monday, June 14, to the morning of Friday, June 18 – The northbound I-5 off-ramp to Northeast 107th Street will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, June 14, to the morning of Friday, June 18 – The Northeast 107th Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Sunday, June 13 through Thursday, June 17 – A lane in both directions of SR20 between N. Skagit Street and Collins Road will be closed nightly from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Sunday, June 13 through mid-July - Traffic on Southbound I-5 near exit 250 to Old Fairhaven Parkway will shift onto a temporary two-lane bypass and the speed limit will be reduced to 40 miles per hour.
  • Sunday, June 13, to the morning of Friday, June 18 – The Connelly Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m
