Blocking Incidents
  • This is the activation of the Washington Statewide Silver Alert Plan. The Washington State Patrol is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicle, a 2005, black, Chevrolet Silverado pickup, WA license C39635M. If you have any information about this vehicle call 911.
  • The SR 162 Spiketon Creek Bridge has been permanently closed due to recently discovered pier settlement. A detour is in effect using Mundy Loss Road, SR 410 and SR 165. WSDOT plans to install a temporary span and reopen the highway to travelers mid-October 2019. View our next steps for a path towards permanent bridge replacement additionally in 2022.
  • I-90 westbound off-ramp at milepost 53 is closed due to a collision. Motorists can take the exit 54 off ramp to SR 906 and be able to get to their destination at milepost 53. No estimated reopening time is available. Updates will be provided as they become available.
Construction Closures
  • SR 28 between Ephrata and Soap Lake (MP 44 to 53)- Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., expect delays up to 20 minutes with lane shifts and alternating 1-way traffic through Ephrata and between the north end of Ephrata and Soap Lake where the contractor is installing pavement markers, signage and guideposts.
  • I-90 milepost 33 to 136 North Bend to Vantage: This week across I-90 we continue to have various construction and maintenance work zones between North Bend and the Vantage area. Plan for added travel time, especially if you plan to travel eastbound on Fridays or westbound on Sundays. We see a huge spike in traffic volumes these days due to weekend traffic.
  • US 97 south of Blewett Pass at Swauk Creek campground (MP 159), Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., there will be intermittent flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes near Swauk Creek campground as the contractor works on a drilled shaft in the roadway. Traffic in both directions has been shifted to detour lanes requiring a 12 ft. width restriction and a reduced speed of 50 mph through the work zone.
  • On US 97 beginning at the junction of SR 970 for 15 miles to Tronson Creek campground, Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., expect one lane, flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes in the work zone where the contractor is installing recessed pavement markers, rumble strips and guideposts.
  • At US 97 Blewett Pass at milepost 159 in both directions near Swauk Creek campground, Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. expect delays up to 20 minutes as the contractor constructs drilled shafts in the southbound detour lane, near Swauk Creek campground. Traffic in both directions has been shifted to detour lanes requiring a 12 ft. width restriction and a reduced speed of 50 mph through the work zone.
  • On SR 243 between Vernita and Vantage (milepost 0-28), Monday and Tuesday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect delays up to 20 minutes in a single work zone and pilot car controlled traffic where the contractor is applying pavement markings and completing clean up work.
  • US-12 milepost 149 White Pass: Monday Aug. 19 through Friday Aug. 23, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., drivers should anticipate alternating one way traffic with up to 20 minute delays.
