Annual storm training scheduled Jan. 24Overnight olympic peninsula drivers should expect delays on the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge from 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, to 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25 for annual storm training. The training is conducted at night when traffic volumes are lighter. Crews will work with emergency responders to provide access across the bridge when possible.
By law, WSDOT is required to open the Hood Canal Bridge drawspan to mariners within one hour’s notice, and motorists are advised to expect up to 60-minute delays with each opening. If no drawspan openings are listed immediately below, no non-military drawspan openings are scheduled.
The bridge drawspan will open at approximately 9:00 AM on Wednesday January 16 for maintenance. Drivers can expect delays of up to 60 minutes.
