Know before you goTravelers who use the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge are encouraged to plan additional time. WSDOT crews will conduct an in-depth inspection of the bridge that requires opening the draw span multiple times. During the draw span openings, the bridge is closed to vehicle and bicycle traffic. The inspections are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 1-5 and again 9 a.m. 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 8-12. The typical duration of each draw span closure to traffic can last 15 minutes to one hour.
By law, WSDOT is required to open the Hood Canal Bridge drawspan to mariners within one hour’s notice, and motorists are advised to expect up to 60-minute delays with each opening. If no drawspan openings are listed immediately below, no non-military drawspan openings are scheduled.
