Blocking Incidents
  • US 97 at Omak remains closed until 9 p.m. Aug. 28. All highway traffic will be detoured through town. Expect congestion and delays.
  • SR 21 milepost 145.5 at Gold Creek, 17 miles south of Republic has a one-lane bridge with a 10 mile per hour speed limit until further notice. Follow traffic control in place and yield to on-coming traffic.
  • Road closure for intersection improvements on Broadway Avenue between Marguerite Road and Locust Road from 6:00 am June 4, 2018 until 6:00 pm September 15, 20018. Select alternate route.
  • Mission Ave will be closed from Flora Rd to Barker Rd for road work beginning June 20, 2018 until October 31, 2018. Select alternate route.
  • City of Spokane - Lane restrictions in both directions of Greene Street at the Ermina Avenue intersection for signalization project until further notice.
  • Construction continues on the Hamilton/SR290 on-ramp to WB 90. The on-ramp is closed until further notice. Travelers will have several detour options to access westbound I-90 from Hamilton during this closure, though some depend on vehicle height.
  • Closure for emergency vehicles on SR 290 both directions at milepost 9.51 near Evergreen Rd, Spokane Valley, EB traffic will be diverted at Pines Road, (SR 27) , WB traffic will be divert at Sullivan Road, beginning at 12:56 pm on August 19, 2018 until further notice. Expect delays.
  • Spokane County: Starting on Monday, May 14, 2018, Monroe Road will be closed at Dragoon Creek for bridge replacement. Motorist should use other routes. This project is scheduled until Oct. 31st 2018.
  • City Of Spokane - Spokane Falls Boulevard closed for utility construction from Lincoln to Monroe Streets with a signed detour in place. Lincoln St access to River Park Square parking garage is open.
  • City Of Spokane: Sharp Avenue is closed between Ruby and Hamilton Street for road work beginning June 22 until further notice.
  • Spokane County: AVISTA will have Market Street closed to re-route overhead power lines between Houston Ave and Wilding Ave. starting August 22 at 9 AM until 3:00 PM. Travelers should use other routes and expect delays.
  • City of Spokane - Peaceful Valley Combined Sewer Overflow Project - Starting Monday May 7th, 2018 crews will close N Cedar St from Main to Water Ave and Main Avenue from Monroe to Cedar Streets until further notice for project construction.
Construction Closures
  • US 395 will be DETOURED in the vicinity of Deer Park, MP 178 to MP 171, from 7:00pm Friday, August 17th through 5:30am Tuesday, August 21st. Southbound traffic will be directed west at Monroe Rd to South Monroe Rd, then east at Burroughs Rd back to US 395. Northbound traffic will be directed north at Main St, west at Crawford Rd, then back to US 395. Motorists should expect high delays and are encouraged to find alternative routes within this time frame.
  • City of Spokane - Starting the week of Monday, July 9, Post Street will become a two-way street for one block at City Hall, between Spokane Falls Boulevard and the Mobius Science Center until further notice.
  • Construction on US 395 both directions from milepost 190.3 near R063 0 to milepost 206.7 near Chewelah us underway until further notice. Daytime work with lane closures.
  • Construction on US 395 both directions from milepost 207.7 near Chewelah to milepost 220.0 near MP Marker 220 is underway until further notice. Daytime work with lane closures.
  • Construction on US 2 both directions from milepost 306.0 near MP Marker 306 to milepost 315.0 near MP Marker 315 beginning at the morning of July 24, 2018 until further notice. Daytime work with lane closures.
  • Construction on SR 290 both directions from milepost 0.7 near Hamilton St to milepost 3.4 near Mission Ave beginning July 30th until further notice. Daytime work with lane closures.
  • Maintenance on I-90 westbound from milepost 286.7 near Park Rd to milepost 278.1 near Sunset Hill beginning at 3:00 pm on Monday August 6th to Thursday August 9th, from 9:00 to 3:00. Roadway users should be alert for lane closures and traffic congestion.
  • Construction on SR 902/Medical Lake to I90 both directions from milepost 5.6 to milepost 12.0 until further notice. Motorists should expect delays Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm when they can encounter one-lane, two-way traffic control with flaggers and pilot cars.
  • Construction on US 2 both directions from milepost 297.0 near Deer Rd to milepost 299.9 near Colbert Rd. Roadway users should be alert for possible lane restrictions during non-commute hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Construction on US 2 northbound from milepost 220.9 near SR 21 to milepost 245.4 near Rocklyn Rd. Work is scheduled for Monday, July 30th to Thursday, August 2nd from 7:00am to 4:30pm. Roadway users should expect delays and be alert for flaggers and a pilot cars directing single-lane, alternating traffic.
  • ON SR 155 between Nespelem and Omak Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. expect less than 20 minute delays with single lane flagger controlled traffic for fiber optic cable installation.
  • Rut repair work on the north bound lane of the Sam Guess Bridge near Division and Ruby Streets, MP 286.86 to 289.19. Night time lane restrictions will continue through early August with work being performed 8pm to 6am.
  • US 2 is reduced to one lane in each direction with slow traffic, congestion, and possible delays.
  • City Of Spokane - Monroe Street is closed between Montgomery and Indiana Avenue for construction for the North Monroe Corridor Project on the south end until further notice.
  • City Of Spokane - Monroe Street is closed between Kiernan and Dalton Avenue for construction for the North Monroe Corridor Project on the north end until further notice.
  • City Of Spokane - MLK Jr. Way is closed from Pine to Sherman Street. A detour is in place for the U District Pedestrian Bridge Project until further notice.
  • City of Spokane will have High Drive closed between 29th and 21st streets starting Monday June 11 until further notice. Motorist are advised to seek alternate routes.
  • Spokane County: Improvement of the Bigelow Gulch Corridor connecting Forker Road to Progress Road via a new alignment north of the existing intersection. Expect delays. No truck traffic, truck traffic violators will be ticketed.
    This work is expected to continue through December 31, 2018.
  • City of Spokane - Paving project on Southeast Boulevard between 29th Avenue and Regal Street. Motorist should expect traffic congestion and delays.
  • Construction on SR 25 northbound from milepost 81 to milepost 121 until further notice. Roadway users should be alert for flaggers and or pilot cars directing single-lane, alternating traffic with some delays.
  • City of Spokane Freya Street paving project between 13th and 29th Avenue. Drivers should expect delays and lane closures.
  • Spokane County will have Forker Road closed from Progress Rd to Brevier, local access only, detour in place. This is part of the Bigelow Gulch re-alignment project. Expect delays.
  • Spokane County will have lane restrictions for road improvements including sidewalks, curb ramps, storm sewer, and landscaping. Please watch for flaggers, there will be delays. This project is schedule through the end of November 2018.
  • Spokane County: Geiger Blvd will be closed for the Project Rose Utility Extension between Hayford Rd to Thomas Mallen Rd between August 20, and September 12, 2018. Motorists should expect delays.
  • Construction on SR 21 both directions from milepost 74.0 near MP Marker 74 to milepost 91.8 near SR 2 until further notice. Roadway users should be alert for flaggers and or pilot cars directing single-lane, alternating traffic with some delays when work is underway.
  • Construction on SR 27 both directions at the intersection of SR 27 and Grace through August. Drivers should be alert for flaggers and or pilot cars directing single-lane, alternating traffic with some delays when work is under way.
  • Construction on US 395 Spur - NSC both directions at the Freya Roundabouts Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Roadway users should be alert for occasional traffic control.
