Blocking Incidents
  • SR-123 Cayuse Pass is open for the season
  • SR 410 Chinook Pass both directions: Due to excessive heat, sections of SR 410 near Chinook Pass are unraveling. To prevent further damage to the roadway and to limit oil and rock from sticking to vehicles, the speed limit is reduced to 30 mph between milepost 69, the summit of Chinook Pass and milepost 74, about five miles east of the summit. Drivers and motorcyclists should also use extreme caution due to loose gravel on the roadway.
Construction Closures
  • SR 823 milepost 2 to milepost 5 Selah: Wednesday July 28, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be single lane flagger controlled and pilot car directed traffic. Anticipate up to 25 minutes of added travel time.
  • SR 225 milepost 2 to 11 Benton City vicinity: Monday July 26, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be single lane flagger controlled and pilot car directed traffic. Motorists should anticipate up to 25 minutes of added travel time.
  • SR 22 milepost 4 to 9 south of Toppenish: Monday July 26, Tuesday July 27, and Wednesday July 28, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. expect single lane flagger controlled and pilot car directed traffic. Anticipate up to 25 minutes of added travel time.
  • SR 223 milepost 2 to 3 near Granger: Monday July 26, Tuesday July 27, and Wednesday July 28, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. expect single lane flagger and pilot car directed traffic. Anticipate up to 25 minutes of added travel time.
  • US 97 milepost 51 to 57 south of Toppenish: Monday July 26, Tuesday July 27, and Thursday July 29, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. expect single lane flagger and pilot car directed traffic for construction work. Traffic will experience up to 25 minutes of added travel time.
  • US 97 northbound milepost 69 to 74 Wapato vicinity: There will be single lane closures Monday July 26 through Friday July 30, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for construction activity. Minimal delays are anticipated.
  • US 97 southbound milepost 63 to 64, north of Toppenish: Wednesday July 28 to Friday July 30 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. the right lane will be closed for construction work. No access will be available to and from US 97 to Becker Rd. and McDonald Rd.
  • US 395 both directions milepost 13 to 14: Access to S Bofer Canyon Rd from SB & NB US 395 via SR 397 will be closed to the public due to roadway excavation for thru traffic until further notice. Christensen Rd will be closed between the intersections of Christensen Rd & Southridge Blvd and Christensen Rd & Ridgeline Dr.
