Blocking Incidents
  • Update 6:12 PM : On the SR 99 on-ramp from S Michigan St (MP 27) there are fallen tree(s) partially blocking the ramp. The Incident Response Team has arrived on the scene.
Construction Closures
  • Tuesday, Sept. 25, to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 26 - The southbound I-5 on and off ramps at the Starbird Road interchange will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 22, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - Up to four lanes of northbound I-5 between Boeing Access Road and South Albro Place will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Saturday, Sept. 22, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The right lane of westbound SR 18 between M Street and Peasley Canyon Road will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Saturday, Sept. 22, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The westbound West Valley ramp to westbound SR 18 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Saturday, Sept. 22, to the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 26 - The 6th Avenue ramp to I-5 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Saturday, Sept. 22, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The westbound SR 18 ramp to northbound SR 167 and westbound West Valley will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24 to Friday, Sept. 28 - The Island Crest Way HOV on-ramp to westbound I-90 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
  • Monday, Sept. 24 to Friday, Sept. 28 - The eastbound I-90 HOV off-ramp to Island Crest Way will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Sept. 28 - Crews will close lanes nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. near Sharpes and Howard's corners for striping, landscaping and signage work. Flaggers will help direct drivers through the open lanes.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - Up to two lanes of southbound I-5 between the Ebey Slough Bridge and 200th Sreet Northeast/King Thompson Road will be closed starting with the first lane at 7 p.m. nightly. All lanes will reopen by 4:45 a.m. daily. This work is weather dependent.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The southbound I-405 HOV ramp to the westbound I-90 HOV lane will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - Up to two lanes of the southbound I-5 collector-distributor between the Ship Canal Bridge and Mercer Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - Up to three lanes of the southbound I-5 between the West Seattle Bridge and South Albro Place will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 25 - Up to three left lanes of northbound I-5 between South 272nd Street and South 216th Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The eastbound SR 520 collector-distributor between Northeast 40th Street and Northeast 51st Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Thursday, Sept. 27 - The left lane of southbound I-5 at Forest/Tully's/6th Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The three left lanes of northbound I-5 between the University Street on-ramp and the Mercer Street off-ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The three left lanes of northbound I-5 between Denny Way and SR 520 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - The University Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 - Up to three right lanes of southbound I-5 between Yesler Way and the West Seattle Bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • * Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Saturday, Sept. 29 – The northbound I-405 ramp to southbound SR 167 will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 25, to the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 26 - A single lane in either direction of SR 531 between Lake Goodwin Road and 11th Avenue Northeast will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
  • Monday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Sept. 21 - Crews will work on the Hedrick Creek fish passage project at milepost 32 on SR 542 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Crews could close one lane of Mount Baker Highway during this work and have flaggers alternate traffic through the open lane.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 – Two lanes of northbound I-405 between SR 167 and SR 900 will be closed nightly from midnight to 4:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Sept. 28 - Crews could alternate traffic through the work zone on SR 9 at Gribble Creek daily between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for fish passage improvement work. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.
  • Overnight SR 20 lane closures near Dewey Beach next week::
    Monday, Sept. 24, through the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25 - Anacortes Water District crews will close one lane of SR 20 near Deception Road nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for waterline work. Flaggers will alternate traffic through an open lane.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Saturday, Sept. 29 – Two lanes of southbound SR 167 between I-405 and South 180th Street will be closed nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 – Two lanes of northbound SR 167 between South 180th Street and I-405 will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Friday, Sept. 28 – Two lanes of southbound I-405 between the Benson Bridge and SR 167 will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, to the morning of Saturday, Sept. 29 – Three lanes of southbound SR 167 between I-405 and South 180th Street will be closed nightly from 11:30 p.m. to 5:15 a.m.
  • Monday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Oct. 5 - Crews will work on the Hedrick Creek fish passage project at milepost 32 on SR 542 daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Crews could close one lane of Mount Baker Highway during this work and have flaggers alternate traffic through the open lane.
Special Events
  • Tuesday, Sept. 25 - A baseball game that begins at 7:10 p.m. at Safeco Field will cause additional congestion on highways leading into Seattle, including I-5, I-90, SR 520 and SR 99.
