Blocking Incidents
  • Thursday, Oct. 31, until further notice: Access to the upper level of SR 504/Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, near Hummocks Trailhead at the gate at milepost 45.0, is closed for the winter.
    Note: During the road closure, travelers will have access to Coldwater Lake as weather conditions allow.
  • Collision on SR 507 southbound at milepost 19 near 153rd Ave SE beginning at 9:25 pm on December 14, 2019 until further notice. All lanes blocked.
  • Both directions of SR 409, between Columbia Street and Chester Avenue, will be closed between 3-9 p.m., for the annual Wahkiakum Lighted Christmas Parade.
    Note: During the closure, travelers wishing to get to and from Puget Island will follow a signed detour using SR 4 and Wahkiakum High School Road. Travelers should watch for flaggers which will be operated by the Wahkiakum County Sheriff.
Construction Closures
  • Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, until further notice: Both directions of SR 506, between Telegraph Road and the end of the Lacamas Creek Bridge, will be fully closed, for bridge replacement work.
    Note: During construction, travelers will follow a signed detour using South Military Road and SR 505. The bridge closure and detour will remain in place until construction of the new bridge is complete.
  • Beginning Friday, March 22, 2019, until further notice: Traffic will alternate through a single lane, around-the-clock, for bridge painting and deck replacement work. For everyone’s safety, the speed limit across the bridge is 25 mph. Please slow down and give crews room to work.
  • Beginning Monday, July 15 until further notice: A single lane on southbound I-5 between mileposts 51.43 and 52.79 will be closed around-the-clock until construction on the bridge is complete. Overnight double-lane closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday through Friday.
    Note: The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph throughout the length of the work zone for the duration of construction.
  • Beginning Monday, July 26, until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6, near Jones Creek just east of Pe Ell, will be shifted onto a temporary single-lane, bypass road. This detour allows travelers to safely bypass construction around-the-clock, and will be controlled with an automated signal.
    Note: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, for additional intermittent, daytime single-lane closures, as needed.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13 until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6, between mileposts 22.60 and 22.69, will be shifted onto a temporary single-lane, bypass road. This detour allows travelers to safely bypass construction around-the-clock, and will be controlled with an automated signal.
    Note: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, for additional intermittent, daytime single-lane closures, as needed.
  • Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13, until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6 near Salmon Creek will be shifted to use a temporary detour road along SR 6, as work to replace an undersized culvert with a larger box culvert continues. During the work, travelers will pass through the area, around-the-clock, via an automated signal. The speed limit will be reduced to 25-mph, throughout the work zone. Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, and may encounter lane closures.
