Construction Closures
  • Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, until further notice: Both directions of SR 506, between Telegraph Road and the end of the Lacamas Creek Bridge, will be fully closed, for bridge replacement work.
    Note: During construction, travelers will follow a signed detour using South Military Road and SR 505. The bridge closure and detour will remain in place until construction of the new bridge is complete.
  • Beginning Friday, March 22, 2019, until further notice: Traffic will alternate through a single lane, around-the-clock, for bridge painting and deck replacement work. For everyone’s safety, the speed limit across the bridge is 25 mph. Please slow down and give crews room to work.
  • Monday, July 8 until further notice: Beginning at 7 a.m., all travelers within the intersection of SR 14 and 32nd Street will be shifted to a temporary roundabout for approximately five weeks.
  • Beginning Monday, July 15 until further notice: A single lane on southbound I-5 between mileposts 51.43 and 52.79 will be closed around-the-clock until construction on the bridge is complete. Overnight double-lane closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday through Friday.
    Note: The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph throughout the length of the work zone for the duration of construction.
  • Beginning Monday, July 26, until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6, near Jones Creek just east of Pe Ell, will be shifted onto a temporary single-lane, bypass road. This detour allows travelers to safely bypass construction around-the-clock, and will be controlled with an automated signal.
    Note: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, for additional intermittent, daytime single-lane closures, as needed.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13 until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6, between mileposts 22.60 and 22.69, will be shifted onto a temporary single-lane, bypass road. This detour allows travelers to safely bypass construction around-the-clock, and will be controlled with an automated signal.
    Note: Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, for additional intermittent, daytime single-lane closures, as needed.
  • Beginning Monday, Sept. 16, through the end of October: Travelers should plan for nighttime delays, as they alternate through a single-lane of SR 14 near 32nd Street, nightly from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 14 to the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 15: Up to two lanes of eastbound SR 500 along the entire I-205 overpass span, will close overnight, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for bridge joint replacement work.
  • Monday, Oct. 14 to the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 16: The following ramps will close nightly, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., for paving and bridge joint repair work:
    The eastbound SR 500 off-ramp to the southbound I-205 on-ramp.
    The eastbound SR 500 off-ramp to the northbound I-205 on-ramp.
  • Monday, Oct. 14 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 18: ?Up to two lanes of northbound I-205, between Burton Road and Northeast 139th Street, will close nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for concrete panel replacement work.
  • Monday, Oct. 14 to the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 15: A single lane of southbound I-205, between Burton Road and St. Johns Road, will close overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for concrete panel replacement work.
  • Construction on I-205 southbound at milepost 33 near Exit 32 / Padden Parkway through milepost 31.5 near 4th Plain Blvd, the right lane is closed beginning at 7:57 pm on October 14, 2019 until further notice.
  • Construction on SR 500 westbound at milepost 5.9 near Fourth Plain Boulevard to milepost 4, just east of I-205, the left lane is closed beginning at 8:32 pm on October 14, 2019 until further notice.
  • Construction on SR 500 eastbound at milepost 4 near Thurston Way to milepost 5.92 near 4th Plain Blvd, the left lane is closed, beginning at 8:35 pm on October 14, 2019 until further notice.
  • Maintenance on I-5 southbound at milepost 52.6 near Barnes Drive through milepost 51.5 near the Toutle River Bridge, the left lane is closed, beginning at 8:56 pm on October 14, 2019 until further notice.
  • Construction on I-205 northbound from milepost 31.4, near 4th Plain Boulevard to milepost 33.5, near 69th Avenue. The right lane is closed, use caution, beginning at 10:19 pm on October 14, 2019 until further notice.
  • Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13, until further notice: Travelers on both directions of SR 6 near Salmon Creek will be shifted to use a temporary detour road along SR 6, as work to replace an undersized culvert with a larger box culvert continues. During the work, travelers will pass through the area, around-the-clock, via an automated signal. The speed limit will be reduced to 25-mph, throughout the work zone. Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, and may encounter lane closures.
