SR 162 Both Directions - The SR 162 Spiketon Creek Bridge has been permanently closed due to recently discovered pier settlement. A detour is in effect using Mundy Loss Road, SR 410 and SR 165. WSDOT plans to install a temporary span and reopen the highway to travelers mid-October 2019. View our next steps for a path towards permanent bridge replacement additionally in 2022.

I-90 Eastbound - UPDATED INFO: I-90 eastbound Exit 80 on and off ramps, 4 miles west of Cle Elum, are closed 24 hours a day. The off ramp is closed through Monday Oct. 21, and drivers will need to use Exit 84. The on ramp will remain closed until Monday Nov. 4, drivers wishing to go eastbound from Exit 80 will need to go through Cle Elum to Oaks Ave. on ramp at Exit 84. Ramp closures are for concrete rehabilitation of the highway and bridge deck.

I-5 Northbound - On Oct. 13, the Thorne Lane on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be temporarily turned into a merge lane, requiring drivers to merge into mainline traffic sooner than they are used to. For approximately 1 week, northbound I-5 from Thorne Lane and Gravelly Lake Drive will be reduced from four lanes to three.

SR 116 Both Directions - Crews for WSDOT and NOSC are working to restore historic tidal channels and fish runs between southern Kilisut Harbor and Oak Bay by constructing a 440' concrete girder bridge along SR 116. During construction, travelers should expect weekday daytime delays as well as reduced speeds with one-way alternating traffic early August 2019 through fall 2020.
