US 2 Both Directions - Advance Notice: Avalanche control is planned for US 2 Stevens Pass on Thursday, January 23rd at 4:00 a.m. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 58 at Scenic and westbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 64, the summit of Stevens Pass. Avalanche control work generally takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. WSDOT will provide an update should an extended closure become necessary.

Traction tires advised eastbound from milepost 34, 16 miles west of the summit to milepost 71 near Easton. Oversize vehicles are prohibited. Travelers are experiencing up to 30 minutes of added travel time.
