SR 9 Tawes Creek and Two Tributaries to Tawes Creek - Fish Passage - #9380

SR 542 I-5 to Britton Road - Paving and ADA Compliance - #9362

Description: In 2019, WSDOT contractor crews from Granite Construction will repave and improve pedestrian crossing areas on SR 542 from I-5 to Britton Road through Bellingham.

SR 542 Bellingham to Kendall Area Resurfacing - #9372

Description: In 2019, WSDOT contractor crews will use a combination of logs and rocks to stabilize this bank between the Sauk River and SR 530.

SR 20 Deception Pass Bridge and Canoe Pass Bridge - Painting and Special Repair - #9344

  • Until further notice - Loud sandblasting work could happen daily Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors to the area and Deception Pass State Park should prepare for this noise and consider packing hearing protection for young children.
  • Until the morning of Friday, Sept. 20 - Crews will close one lane of SR 20 over Deception Pass and Canoe Pass bridges nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for bridge painting work. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.

Special Events

  • Sunday, Sept. 22 - Oyster Run: This annual motorcycle event brings thousands of riders to Anacortes. Riders, please follow rules of the road. Drivers, be aware of motorcycles on I-5, SR 11, SR 20 Spur, SR 20, SR 525 and other highways as participants head to this event and remember to look twice, save a life.
