Project overview
In summer 2023 contactor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will resurface a nearly 2.5 mile stretch of SR 432 between milepost 7.19 near Industrial Way and milepost 7.19 near the Cowlitz River. Crews will also resurface several off- and on-ramps along this stretch of highway, restripe lane marking and fog lines and install new guideposts.
What to expect
When construction begins, crews will grind out and resurface a nearly 2.5 mile stretch of SR 432, between milepost 7.19 and 9.59. Additionally, crews will close the following exits for resurfacing:
- The off-ramps from eastbound and westbound SR 432 to 3rd Avenue/SR 411
- The off-ramp from eastbound SR 432 to Dike Road
- The on-ramps from eastbound and westbound SR 432 to Tennant Way
Daytime and nighttime single and double lane closures are planned with flaggers and a pilot car to lead travelers through a single lane. Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected. During ramp/exit closures, travelers will need to use an alternate route.
